Everyone on the crew was very friendly, super accommodating, and seemed happy in their work. One thing that really impressed me was that their bid calculated how many tons of asphalt my job would take. Then at the end they showed me the receipts from the asphalt plant detailing how many tons they actually did use. In my case, it took less than estimated, and I was given a $1200 credit for asphalt not needed, and dump fees not incurred. So my final bill was less than their bid. You don't get any more honest or transparent than that! I would hire them again in a heartbeat, and I give them my highest recommendation. read less

We had deferred maintenance to deal with: "alligator" cracks in several places and the beginning of potholes. We knew it would be an expensive project but we did not want to overpay and we needed assurance that the big expense would be a solid investment. Jack of Jackson's came out and VERY patiently explained what he felt were our best options. The other two companies I'd gotten proposals from had proposed that we lay petromat over the damage and lay new asphalt on top. Jack advised us not to waste our money with that, as it's not a good solution on a hillside like we have. (The petromat eventually creeps downhill, creating more maintenance problems in the future.) Jack and his wife Amy, who runs the office, fielded many phone calls, emails and texts from me; they were always amiable and easy-going. They squeezed us into their schedule on short notice, showed up on time, and got the job done beautifully in a reasonable timeframe.

Not only did they properly advise us of the best solution and saved us future headaches & expense, they offered us the best price out of the 3 proposals. It was easy to get a unanimous "yes" vote from the neighbors because Jackson's was so clearly the best choice. Give them a call about your project; you won't regret it! read less

At the request of my Wife, I had Solar installed. After the job was completed, the trench collapsed, leaving a 35 foot long, 2 ½ foot wide, and depth of 6” up to 3 ½ feet deep in some areas. The solar company tried to repair the damage multiple times, but it continued to sink. It was very frustrating, we couldn’t cross over it to drive into our garage, or our storage area. When they arranged to send in another company to repair it, we didn’t hold our breath, but we were hopeful after confirming the business was appropriately licensed and seemed professional, boy oh boy was that an understatement! E G Paving are the epitome of what a professional company is. They came with a full a team and all the heavy equipment to get the job done right. They used the proper material and didn’t cheap it down. I watched and it was big production, they do not mess around. In fact I would say it was not only more extensive regarding the repair sections but they also made sure that the sides were cut out before they filled the areas and it looks great. One of our neighbors wrote to me and said, "I love my new driveway!". The foreman and the crew were super nice and worked a very long day from 730 until about 6. Over the 25 years of ownership, this and that had been done to the driveway. After discussion with Jack Jackson, we could to a patch on an area here, an overlay on a section there and complete replacement where needed. It was a completely practical solution to uniting our driveway into a single thing. The crew was totally expert, devising solutions to all of my needs and not minding a “lookie-loo” seeing what they were doing over their shoulder.. Jack took over the actual paving, making sure that it meant his standards. To tell the truth, Ellie and I were off adventuring when the final uniting of all the elements occurred. We returned afterwards to a splendid sight of a great entrance to our home. Much thanks to Jackson Paving for the attention they gave to this project. First of all, I had called two other companies...one never called me back and one guy was so rude and had such a high "guesstimate" for the job that it was a non-starter.

Jackson's was my third call and I'm glad I got down the list to them. Jack, of Jackson's, is a very nice, super-respectful, quiet-spoken guy that gave an honest bid and delivered fast service. His wife, Amy, who mans the phones, was awesome...when there was a slight delay, she was on the phone immediately to advise us and to make sure we were ok with the process. We never felt uninformed and they did a fantastic job.

This is a family owned-operated business. Use them if you need a paving contractor! read less

They mended and sealed my long driveway. Jack and Xavier explained exactly what needed to be done and gave details about the materials they would use. I know nothing about paving and asked questions galore. They were patient and answered my questions, over and over again. They even suggested questions I should ask other paving bidders, which was very helpful. Jack also offered to come back and talk with me more to clarify anything I was unclear about. The work they did was excellent! Everything as promised, timely, and no messes left behind. The work was also reasonably priced. It's very nice to feel confidence in a paving company and know that I will go back again when I need work done in the future. read less

Jack Wahl and his crew did a spectacular job and we are so very happy with the beautiful outcome. They not only sealed all of the lots, but they striped and did the ADA parking areas as well. They were fast, professional, and the price was very fair. We can not say enough about how much we appreciated their attention to detail. Not a speck of black was on our curbs!! We bought a house 2 years ago that had a few big cracks in the driveway and a crumbling brick walkway. We realized that the driveway was beyond a patch job and that it was 30 years old, concrete poured with no reinforcement and that it was getting worse very quickly. Roots were starting to grow beneath it because water could get underneath, pushing it up. I wasn't sure we could afford a new driveway, but over a three month period, we started calling around trying to find someone we felt was honest, reliable and would do a good job at a reasonable price. There are more flakes out there than you can imagine...from the contractors we contacted, only half showed up to do an estimate. Some were very professional but unaffordable. Others gave good prices but seemed a bit shady or weren't licensed. Jackson Paving responded to our inquiry and immediately came over, gave a very fair estimate. We let it go for a few weeks because we weren't sure to do the walkway at the same time. When Jack called back a few weeks later to check in, we decided to go for repaving both the driveway and walkway at the same time. From start to finish, Jack was directly involved, consulted with his guys, and provided oversight to the whole project. He consulted with us on how we wanted the walkway done, and adjusted things accordingly. Over a few days, the front of our house was transformed from an old broken driveway with a dangerous trip hazard of a walkway into a beautiful matching concrete driveway and staircase. The guys even moved our sprinkler system and made sure it was working properly, even after we had paid for the job. Jack sent out an expert to look at it when I had a question just to make sure we were happy. I can't give Jackson Paving higher marks for their customer service, reasonable pricing and gorgeous work! We've gotten so many comments on how beautiful the work is from our friends and family! read less

I refuse to work with people who are unreliable communicators.Finally, I was referred to Jackson's Paving by a contractor I trusted. They returned my call on the same day and came out the next day to give me a quote.
